Italians and jeans: a strong and nonstop love, but not everyone knows the history, peculiarities, techniques and above all the fiber of which the denim is made. For this reason, to increase the connection between cotton (especially American) and jeans, Now!PR – for the client COTTON USA – managed the collaoboration for the realization of the book “Denim, a history of cotton and art”, edited by Fashion Illustrated and presented to industries and press on the 17th January, in the evocative location of the Biblioteca della Moda in Milan.
It’s a pocket volume that frames all the facets of denim and the cotton fiber, produced by an editor specialized in the fashion sector, an editorial project that perfectly meets CCI’s mission of promoting American cotton all over the world.
The history of jeans is namely deeply connected with the United States, from the cotton flower which covers the famous Cotton Belt, to legendary Hollywood stars that brought the denim on big screens around the world. These are some of the book’s contents, that explore the history of jeans, from the origins to future developments, passing through technological evolution and revolution, fashion, art, trends and icons that made a fabric, created centuries ago, a real evergreen.
